MISSILE DEFENSE

   Most American are not aware that until President Bush pushed hard for a missile-defense system, the United States had no way of stopping an incoming missile launched by criminal states like nuclear-armed North Korea. But no thanks to Carl Levin. As a representative of the old liberal gang in Washington who insisted missile defense wouldn’t work from the days that Ronald Reagan proposed it, Carl Levin did all he could to obstruct this program that one day could save America from a catastrophic attack by constantly pushing for halts and budget cutbacks. According to the Wall Street Journal, “Mr. Levin has been waging his own private war against missile defenses for a generation, to the point of outflanking Russian objections on the political left.”
