FOREIGN INTELLIGENCE GATHERING
Senator Levin preposterously voted against authorizing the President of the United States to wiretap suspected terrorist communication that originates overseas. In Levin’s bizarre world, unelected judges, not elected officials, are to determine which members of al Qaeda are reasonable to monitor. Adding to the insanity, Levin opposed legislation that granted retroactive immunity for the telecom companies that cooperated with the feds after 9/11.
